Our Story - The Beginning of Things

We’ve been very lucky. Early last year, my husband’s work in ‘the big smoke’ came to an unexpected end. We had to review our position. The fact that we were no longer tied to living within commuting distance of London presented the possibility of moving to a more rural location. We didn’t have any big plans, just an idea that buying a property with some land may allow us to live a ‘better life’, more in tune with nature. We both enjoy the outdoors and I have a particular passion for all things ‘horticulture’. So the search began. After seeing many a ‘sow’s ear’, we came across a property in rural Kent which had a mixture of woodlands, fields and streams. We both fell in love with it instantly, and put in an offer there and then. With the offer accepted, we moved in a few months later.
